| Scattered Stripes Quilt |
Want a lively and interesting project to brighten up your quilting area? I'm so excited to share with you today one of my favorite quilt designs from The RBD Designers, the Scattered Stripes Quilt Free Pattern.
This beautiful pattern yields a lap quilt or throw measuring 48" x 60" - perfect for the intermediate maker who wants to cozy up on the couch or give a gift to someone special. The magic in this design is the combination of the techniques. The method of strip piecing was used to make the main body of the quilt in an efficient manner to produce a grid-like background against the flower centerpiece that was brightly appliquéd.
The petal construction is very flexible for all types of stitching; raw-edge, turned-edge or fusibles. The frame is fit with straight 4½” borders for a smooth and flat finish with a very polished and professional appearance.
