What is so special about this pattern?
A small tote with tiny version of Log Cabin blocks made with small 1" strips of cloth around a traditional red center block. Classic contrast and visual depth throughout the bag body with the interplay of light prints (creams and light blues) and dark prints (navy and black). The body is constructed using thin batting and soft lining fabric and topstitched along the seam lines for structure and a neat box corner at the bottom provides the bag with a clean, stand-up shape.
Materials You’ll Need
- Assorted red, light and dark cotton prints: 5″ Charm Squares
- There is a ⅜ yard requirement for fabric to line.
- Batting: Thin low loft batting ⅜ yard wide.
- Essential Tools: Rotary cutter, acrylic ruler, iron and neutral piecing thread
