What I really love about this quilt is the mix of bold geometric and bright fabrics. The marigold, pastel mint and muted colors along with cream and nature prints create a very inviting quilt perfect for autumn decorating but still looks great all year round.

Warrior Quilt Breakdown
One of the things I love about this quilt is how they have mixed different geometric shapes together to create an exciting layout. Instead of using traditional square blocks they have used triangles, trapezoids and half square triangles to create seven rows. There are four different row patterns and three rows have been repeated to complete the quilt.
The original pattern uses a beautiful range of co-ordinating prints and solids. The cutting list includes Solid Marigold, Firefly Dots Mint, Dragonflies Shell, Wink Dusk, Bevy Pond/Shell, Solid Pond, Wink Marigold, Solid Dusk, Bevy Shell/Dusk and Solid Cream.
This project is perfect for those who love working with accurate shapes. It includes templates, accurate cutting and matching seams. The pattern has clear diagrams and full sized templates.
Instructions
The instructions begin with preparing the fabric strips and cutting the required shapes. Each row is assembled separately before the rows are joined to form the complete quilt top.
One of my favorite parts of this pattern they have taught you how to create half square triangle units. This is done using contrasting square fabrics. The pattern suggests cutting them down to 4” unfinished.
Once your quilt top has been made up add your wadding and back, then baste and quilt as you wish. Finally add binding to finish off your quilt.
Final Thoughts
This is such an inspiring quilt to make if you love modern geometric patchwork and unique designer fabrics. The Charley Harper prints, warm autumn colored fabrics and interesting shapes will make this a stand out quilt.
Whether you stick to the color scheme or use your favorite fabrics this is a fun pattern to play with creative patchwork to create a beautiful quilt for your home.
